Fall Events Worth the Drive!

Want to head out of town for a Fall or Halloween-inspired event?  Here is a list of recommended events that are within a 2-hour drive of South Lake. 

Please note that some of these events are intended for mature audiences only.

🎃    Select nights beginning September 8 through October 31 - Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream (Tampa) - Unexpected terrors lurk around every corner, including hundreds of roaming creatures, new haunted houses, and exciting, live interactive entertainment.  Plus enjoy Florida's top thrill rides in the dark. Not recommended for small children.  A separate ticket is required.

🎃   Select nights beginning September 8 through November 4 - Scream-A-Geddon (Dade City) - Florida's premier horror park featuring 5 haunted houses and the monster midway.  Not recommended for small children.

🎃  September 9 - October 31 (Saturdays and Sundays plus Oct 30 and 31) - Busch Gardens Spooktacular (Tampa) - Guests will step into a whimsical world full of enchantment with Kandy, a witch-in-training! A costume parade, storytime, and trick or treating are some of the activities guests will find in this immersive Halloween experience Included in the price of admission.  

🎃   Select Saturdays and Sundays September 16 - October 29 - LEGOLAND Brick or Treat (Winter Haven) - Enjoy an all-new fireworks show, new experiences, tons of candy, spooktacular limited-time food offerings, and never-before-seen exclusive LEGO® characters!

🎃   Select nights September 29 - October 29 - Creatures of the Night at Zoo Tampa (Tampa) - The Zoo transforms into an eerie and immersive Halloween adventure. Ghouls and goblins of all ages can enjoy howling outdoor experiences, spooky characters, creepy culinary treats, and much more! No horror or gore, just fun frights for all!  After 4PM.  A separate ticket is required.

🎃 October 7 -   St Pete Pier Fall Festival - Kick off the Fall Season with the Fall Festival, featuring family-friendly entertainment, activities, food vendors, games/rides, and the area's only waterfront pumpkin patch.

🎃 October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29 -   Zoo Boo Bash at Central Florida Zoo -   The perfect way for children and families to safely show off those Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat while enjoying the fun of the Zoo. The Zoo will have plenty of not-so-scary decorations and activities, including trick-or-treat stations.
